This week is another teaser from Always, Single Dads Book 4. Coming soon <3
I felt a tug of attraction and that threw me because that kind of thing did not happen to me, nor would I let it happen. I tamped down the general appreciation and took a closer look at the man I was trusting didn’t recognize us. He leaned on a cane, and I was confused by my expectations versus reality. How could this guy be a retired firefighter, and why was he leaning on a cane, and… oh shit… was that why he was a former firefighter now? Maybe this wasn’t the Adam I was supposed to be meeting and I guessed I better check?
“Nick told me that… I’m looking for Adam?” I asked with caution.
“You’ve found him.” He took my hand and his grip was firm and I was lost in his green eyes, my ability to form a sentence having fled. The entire change in what I’d expected and what reality faced me was throwing me off balance.
