Team Orders (A Lights Out Novel)
When tragedy strikes and team orders are called for, will Archie and Noah’s love survive the fallout?
Noah is devastated when his best friend is badly hurt in a fiery crash, and shocked when the team’s rookie steps up to take Augusto’s place. Not only is Archie inexperienced on the track, but he’s a threat to Noah’s heart when giving in to lust and passion could only end badly. Caught in the chaos of Formula 1, and despite being terrified of losing everything, Noah falls for Archie one passionate but secret moment at a time.
In his rookie F1 season as Deacon-Graaf’s reserve driver, Archie is called up to cover for an injured driver. He’s determined to earn a permanent place in a team, but for now he’s thrilled that he’s driving alongside his idol, Noah. Falling for his teammate is as simple as breathing, but their romance threatens to expose them to a media frenzy, leaving Archie facing a stark choice — love or career.
This M/M romance from RJ Scott features teammates, a secret affair, hurt/comfort, and is set in the high octane world of Formula 1 featuring fast cars, driving at the limit, spectacular crashes, heated rivalries, and of course, a HEA.
Each book in the Lights Out collection is a standalone story, and the books can be read in any order.

Last Defense
A hockey player with a medical secret, meets the owner of a no kill shelter. Two men afraid to feel, have to make choices that could end up breaking down their defenses and leading them back to love.
Every time Max Van Hellren steps on the ice he knows it could be his last time. At thirty he’s past his hockey prime but he’s also hiding a life-threatening injury that private doctors warn could kill him. This is his last season, and there’s a chance he could lift the Stanley Cup after fourteen years in the NHL. He just needs to stay safe and healthy; difficult when he’s known for his heavy hitting and with a propensity for dropping the gloves and putting his body in the way of pucks to keep his team safe.
A one night stand with a sexy man was just what he needed, dangerous and hot, but what if it turned into more? Would he actually have to share the secrets he so desperately tries to hide?
Ben Worthington had it all. A fulfilling job running the CrossRoads Shelter, his loving aunts, and a husband that understood his devotion to animals. Then, the love of his life left him, succumbing so quickly to an unexpected sickness that Ben never had time to say goodbye. The violent loss scarred him.
Unable to move past his fears, he moves from lonely encounter to lonely encounter, slaking a desperate need that is eating away at him, but never making a connection that could lead him back into love. One night with Max makes him want more, but will giving into the temptation open the door to feelings he can’t contain?
Can these two broken men ever find a way to be together?

Last Defence for me also!
I prefer the Last Defense Cover only because the other one’s face gives me the creeps for some reason.
I like both but I prefer team orders.
Team Orders cover-just one guy to lust over 🙂
I love the Last Defense cover. It’s sexy and heart-sad at the same time.
Last defense for sure
Team Orders….I like the eyes!
Last Defense, it just pulls me in. I want to know more about the men on the cover.

Tricky to pick one over the other, but I’d have to go with Last Defense, simply because the storyline draws me in a bit more.

Happy book birthday, RJ!
Both covers are attractive but, if forced to choose, I’ll pick Last Defense.
Last Defense is my favorite cover! I like that it has multiple people on the cover! (Also, yesterday 5/13 was my real birthday, so I would love to get one of your May book birthday winnings!)
I like the cover & men on Last Defense the best. The men draw me in and make me want to read this book ❤️.
Last Defense! (Not really sure why, it just appeals to me a bit more if I have to pick one.)
Team Orders is my favourite.
That is so rude making me choose! But maybe Last Defense because they are both HOT!

Team Orders is my favorite cover
Team Orders – the red lights in the background make the cover pop.
I’m gonna go with Last Defence, a little bit more of a smoulder going on there 🙂
Last Defense is the hotter cover!
I actually like Team Orders best and the reason is weird. Each time I see it I think it’s somebody in the clergy and I freak out for a second until I read what it’s about. So maybe it’s really the worst one. LOL
I’d have to go with Last Defense, it just pulls me in more.
I’m voting for Last Defense. There something about the smouldering eyes… and because it popped up in my facebook memories not long ago #IBlameRJ
Last Defense I like that you can visualize both of the MC!
I prefer Team Orders.
Last Defense
I would choose Last Defense.
I love both but for the cover it’s Last Defence
I like The Last Defense cover the best.
Last defence for me
Team Orders is my favourite!
I prefer Last Defense
Team orders is my fav cover!!
Last Defense. The composition is nicer. The red circles on the other cover clash with the cover model image.
I like both, but Team Orders’ red tones caught my attention.
Team orders, less busy maybe?
I prefer Team Orders cover 🙂
Last Defense is my fav!!!
I prefer the Team Orders cover. It’s got more energy, more vibrancy… It makes me feel like the story is going to have a more engaging plot that will capture my attention. I’ll definitely be reading Last Defence though, don’t get me wrong! The blurb has drawn me in…
Tough choice, gonna say Last Defense bc the right hand character is giving this evaluative look, I’m seeing some mischief and fun there!
Last Defense is one of my favorite covers from that series—and I’m not just saying that for the competition ! 😊
Team Orders is my favorite cover. I did a double-take. The model looks like friend I see frequently!
Joe
All your book covers are so perfect, RJ – if my choices are limited to the two, Team Orders and Last Defense, I’m really torn! I’ll go with Team Orders, just because one guy on the cover doesn’t cause me to “split my attention” like Last Defense with two!
Last Defense because I don’t have to use my very vivid imagination!
I can look at it, close my eyes, and seep into the dialogue and action!
Last Defense ❤️
Team Orders
Last Defense
Certainly a difficult choice, the cover for Team Orders has my heart. There is something about the cover for a standalone that draws my interest.
Team Orders for me!
Last Defense is my favorite cover.
Last defense
I refuse to chose. 😉
Last defense is my favorite, because here you see the two most important inhabitants of the book
I like both covers. Although, the colours on Team Orders are more vibrant so stand out more. I find that your characters are so well described in your writing I don’t need the image of them on the cover. 😀
My favorite cover is the Last Defense cover
I like the both but Team orders sounds so good
I like Last Defense – the background is softer & feels more romantic.
