Right about now I start to think about the new year. This includes the events I'm going to be attending, the scheduling of my books, the projects I want to achieve, and so on.
This the moment I start filling in my planner for next year – this is an electronic planner on my iPad and I painstakingly add in all of my dates for releases (knowing full well I'll probably be changing them all around because the muse is a fickle thing).
Unfortunately, I don't just have the electronic planner, which would be all kinds of environmentally conscious… because I have this thing… it's an addiction.
Hello, my name is RJ Scott and I'm addicted to notebooks. Pretty, shiny, beautiful, sexy, alluring, notebooks. In all their perfect wonderful-ness (I know that isn't a word! LOL). I have so many… SO MANY… and some of them I even use :O
And it's not just notebooks either… it's pens! Lots of pens. My office is full of notebooks and pens. LOL
I think it goes back to that moment in school, on the first day of a new term, when you open a new exercise book and anything is possible. This is the year I will do all my homework on time. This is the year I won't make any mistakes. This is the year of me as a perfect student. This of course only lasted until the second week back, but hey, for a brief shining moment I am the most organized and focused student. Then reality would hit and I'd become the daydreamer who talked too much. LOLS.
Do you collect anything? What do these things mean to you and why do you collect them?
