There’s no place like home for the holidays, so the old song goes. I took that to heart when working on my new Christmas book, Mr. Frosty Pants. Set in my hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee, it was a pleasure to work in so many little details of Christmastime here.
Downtown Knoxville comes to life at Christmastime with Christmas markets and a fun outdoor skating rink that stays open through the New Year’s Day. There’s always a sweet Christmas parade and the typical lack of snow makes for a tender (to quote another famous song) feeling.
I also included many of the more typical holiday scenes: tree decorating, presents, and a Christmas party. I loved making sure this book simply hums with holiday feelings! Miracle snow might also appear in the book, because what’s a Christmas book without some snow? Even in Tennessee?
I hope readers enjoy discovering the love between frosty Joel and earnest Casey, and find the holiday feelings of the book rewarding, satisfying, and wonderful. Be sure to read it with a cup of cocoa or tea!
