Yesterday Mr RJ and I went on the London Eye… for the first time. Yes I know we only live just down the road from London but up until now we just haven't had the idea to go. We had a wonderful time… spent ages walking the back streets (we weren't lost… well… only a little bit) and had a wonderful time on the Eye. By the time we got on it was dark and London is beautiful all lit up at night. Stunning. I still say that Westminster Palace, with the tower housing Big Ben is the most stunning of buildings and I couldn't take my eyes off of it.

Mr RJ used to work in the centre of London for Schroders right next to St Pauls, slap bang in the Square Mile and when we were reminiscing I only suffered a plot bunny attack!
As wikipedia says:

This plot bunny attack was quite vicious and left me reeling for a notebook and pen, neither of which I had on me… Never mind, I remember most of it!
The series will be called *Streets Of London* and book one is called *Square Mile*. Mistaken identity, love, drama and a happy ever after for my Investment Bank IT geek and the son of the owner of the bank…

Love the idea – loads of potential in a London set series.
Try to get your heros a bit "rougher" around the edges, not just vthe pretty boys you have on your covers so far.

I love reading stories set in foreign (to me) places since I love to travel but must do it in my mind these days. Odd street names really draw my attention and I have always been fascinated by "mews" (what are they exactly?). I don't mind the pretty boys at all but would like to see one with some snow on the roof occasionally.

Its one of those huge books (i read before ebooks were a thing!, got from library) and it starts with bronze age family setting camp by a spring then skipping through the ages, roman london, middle ages, all the way to then present. Covers lots of history of development of London, from simple dwelling, to encampments on hills, wars, plague, fire and keeping a thread of the fictional family through.
I enjoyed the historical references woven in with the fiction but its not a quick read! But for a sweeping saga type read I would recommend
I read a similar one to that about Salisbury… called Sarum I think… 🙂
I would love a series set in London. I've been there twice, once for my honeymoon and the other as a quick trip over when my husband was stationed in Germany. It's the one big city I would live in if I was rich. 🙂

I was saying this idea gives you so much scope playing with historical/nostalgia, out of town visitors, the odd highlander in a kilt ghosts/unexplained etc essentially GO FOR IT!!!

Yes, snow on the roof, but hot sexy. Please not historical. So tired of London stories being historical. Makes me think of Barbara Cartland. Read those as a teen, all grown up now. lol But I'm sure you will make it fun and hot.

I like it!!! I love stories that have a very strong sense of place. I had the opportunity to visit London after I graduated high school and I absolutely loved it. I love the history and the people. If I could've, I would have just people watched for hours.
