As a survivor of both a life altering car accident (admitted in my mid 30s & not amputation) & an abusive ex-husband I found this book very close to my heart. I related to Chris like no other character before, I knew exactly where he was mentally & what he was feeling. It was so very on point. I also fully understood Noah’s hiding & burying his head in the sand, hoping if he kept his head down no-one would actually see him. I loved the story & the fact they connected on so many levels, letting each other in carefully. I love all your books but this one, I admit, surprised me with how very real it felt & the satisfaction I felt once I finished it.
Side note: I cant now wait for Connor & Neil’s story, I was so hoping they would get together.
