I'm just beginning my thirteenth year of writing MM for publishing – but before that I spent two or three years writing fan fiction in the Supernatural ‘verse. It's where I met my wonderful cover artist Meredith, and began to get a feel for creating stories. Since then I haven't really stopped, and my back list is quite big (understatement of the year!).
So I found MM Romance through the Supernatural fandom, and it struck me that I have been ‘slashing' or pairing up to guys since I was very young. It started with The Famous Five (which was more about the heroic manliness of Julian and how brave Dick was – ignore they were brothers, I was only 7 or so at the time!). i love the heroic sacrifice, and found it in Battle of the Planets, Narnia, the original Battlestar Galactica, and then right through to Supernatural (and beyond!) with the whole I would die for you concept of friends and family found.
How did you find MM Romance? Was it through fan fiction?
