Rainy days are my favorite kinds of day. They're up there alongside frosty mornings, and autumn leaves. I love being inside watching the rain on the window, the runs of droplets, the heavy downpours that create puddles, the people walking past that are always in a hurry. I love walking in the rain as well, not icy snowy rain, but the soft rain that makes everything look so green.
Some of my favorite kisses in films are the ones in the rain. I'm thinking about the movie version of Pride and Prejudice (Matthew MacFadyen and Keira Knightley) with that scene in the folly. Gorgeous. Come to think of it, I really need to write a kiss in the rain – adds to my list
Oh, and if you haven't seen the movie version of P&P, then I highly recommend it (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0414387/)
I have written storms before, when the rain is just part of the entire landscape of mother nature fighting back. The story is Alpha, Delta – and much of the story is spent on an oil rig being decommisioned, in the middle of the Norwegian sea, with Finn trying to save Niall who is being held hostage by a terrorist. Rain plays an impotant part, along with storm gales, lightening, and icy cold.

Officer Finn Hallan has never run from a fight. With Niall’s life at stake, he’s not about to start now…
Finn Hallan is a member of the elite Norwegian Emergency Response Unit, code name Delta. When the team is sent to respond to a hostage situation on a Oil Platform in the Norwegian Sea, he has to face demons he thought he had buried a long time ago.
Scottish engineer Niall Faulkner’s skills in oil platform decommissioning takes him to the Forsetti platform at the worst possible time. When he’s captured by terrorists, his only thought is that he will never get to tell his lover how he really feels.
Can Finn keep Niall alive? Or will they both die at the hands of hijackers in the frigid waters of the Norwegian sea?

I much prefer the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth.
