Hi everyone! It’s so fab to be back visiting RJ’s blog once again. Coming over to hang out, talk about gay romance, and run contests is always a blast! We’ll get to my contest in a wee bit, I promise, but before that, I thought I’d chat about Loving Layne and how it touches on one of my favorite sports as well as top things to do.
Obviously, traveling in the winter can be dicey. As I live in NC Pennsylvania, snow can fly from November 1 through Easter. I kid you not, I have images of my daughter and hubby building a snow rabbit on Easter Day. So leaving the mountains behind is usually something I rarely do after the end of October. I have, though, on occasion if the temptation is great enough – made my way to New York City to see a Rangers game. Hockey will lure me from the farm if nothing else will. *wink*
Getting to experience Bryant Park at Christmas time with my adult daughter is one of my warmest and most cherished memories. Cheering on the Blue Shirts at MSG is a close second! There’s something magical about a city park all lit up for the holidays. There’s also something magical about the slap of a hockey stick on the ice, the roar of the crowd when a goal is scored, and the dynamic speed of ice hockey. It’s a win-win in my books!

Loving Layne
Sometimes the last thing you expect to happen might turn out to be what you needed all along.
Roman Kennedy’s first trip to the Windy City isn’t going quite as planned. Mysteries intrigue him, and his best friend Dillon seems to be sitting on a whopper. So, with his grandfather’s favorite hat on his head and his notebook in hand, the journalism major starts digging. Sadly, getting his bestie to spill the beans on what the secret is isn’t as easy as Roman had hoped.
Now, through no fault of his own, he’s stuck in an expensive hotel attending a bachelor auction of all things. He’s surrounded by lumbering jocks who, he’s sure, are just waiting for the chance to poke fun at the skinny, gay Jewish guy. Imagine his surprise when one of the big lugs sits down with him and talks Bernstein and Woodward.
Layne Coleman is sexy as sin, smart as a whip, considerably older, and has the same passion for investigative journalism as Roman does. His deep blue eyes and dark hair make concentrating on anything but the soft kisses they’re now sharing difficult. Roman’s keen instincts are understandably clouded by romance, so when Dillon reveals his secret in a highly public way, it’s hard to say who is more stunned—Roman or Layne, the man at the center of it all.

Contest
In Loving Layne my two heroes take in the sights of Chicago on a wintery day. They even share their first kiss on that outing!
To win a digital copy of any of my backlist hockey romances just tell me where you like/would like to travel to in the winter. Would you like to visit a Swiss chalet to ski? Or leave the snow behind for a warmer climate? Maybe you’d like to go see a hockey game in Canada! It’s all good. Just drop your comment below and I’ll pick one random winner in ten days. Good luck!
Closes February 17th, 7am LONDON

I would love to visit somewhere that has picturesque mountain views with snow that I do not have to shovel. Perhaps near the Catskills in New York. I would love to spend my days reading under a cozy blanket with hot cocoa and whipped cream.

Living in Alaska, I get enough snow and ice. But ice inside with teams playing hockey is a whole different level and that is one I will take year round! Sorry VL, but I’m a St Louis Blues girl. So yes, hockey would be a fabulous trip, but heading anywhere would be fun too. I’m always game for Scotland and England.
