I love the Olympics! Winter, summer…they’re both so fun to watch. I have vivid memories of watching Nadia Comaneci win gold in gymnastics in 1976 and Eric Heiden winning four years later for speed skating on ice. I’m in awe of these athletes doing things I wouldn’t dream of even trying for fear of breaking a necessary body part. LOL

If I had to name a favorite winter event, I’d go with figure skating… and hockey. Something about lithe, willowy skaters spinning in tight circles and tough, muscular athletes chasing a tiny puck with surprising grace that gets me. The last time I was on skates was ten years ago at Rockefeller Center with my family and though it was fun, I was as far from graceful on ice as it gets!

I’ll leave the hard stuff to the experts. I’m looking forward to cuddling up with a blanket and a cup of tea, and happily watching the Olympics from my sofa.

I’ve always loved hockey. My childhood dreams of becoming a legend on the ice might not be on track, but that doesn’t mean I want to be an accountant. I don’t. Closet cases are a pain. I should know—I am one. But coming out isn’t an easy option. I’ve burned a lot of bridges during college and I’m not sure I can fix them, but my new job should keep me busy until baseball season starts. Bonus…the hockey jock training me is hot.
