The Book
Christmas is a time for giving – what do you do when no one gives a damn?
For Zachary Weston Christmas means sleeping on a churchyard bench in the freezing snow with nothing better in his future. Thrown out of his home for being gay, he is left without money or, it seems, anywhere to go. Until a stranger shows him that some people do give a lot more than a damn.
Ben Hamilton is a rookie cop in his small home town. He finds a young throwaway, fresh from the city, sleeping on a bench in the churchyard on a snowy Christmas Eve. Can he be the one to give Zachary his own Christmas miracle?

Valynda King with her story Christmas in Hawaii
River is a mess, well so he thinks. He has OCD and Agoraphobia, disorders he has been learning to deal with since he was a kid. Now as an adult and years of hard work and therapy he has a job working from home as a trouble shooter for a technology company. Everything seemed fine until a new owner bought the company and his world tilted on its’ axes. Now he’s on a plane heading to Hawaii just before Christmas. His anxiety is through the roof on the verge of a panic attack and the only light at the end of this tunnel is the Adonis sitting a few rows back and knowing he was finally going to meet Coolidge.
Valynda’s Special Christmas Memory
Christmas is laughing, family and smiling. I say laughing because every year I decorate my parents house and put up a tree. And every year they stare at me like I have lost my mind until they have seen the finished product and then it’s smiles on their faces when it’s done. I love doing it, It feels good and brings us together.

Mr RJ’s Crap Joke Section
So the above is what I had written for todays competition. This post tends to get written around 5:30PM on the preceeding day. RJ’s already done her bit in advance and I add in the extra bits. 5:45PM and RJ wants her dinner (she’s still writing for you guys) Well, it’s 23:30 on the 9th December over here in the UK as I write these words now and the reason…. I’ve had some encouragement from dear Laurie and Sharon. I have fans…. I can’t let them down…. so I’m now trawling the Internet for some more jokes before my head hits the pillow. I’ll start with Sharon’s in case you missed it :-
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Mary
Mary who?
Mary Christmas!!
A classic!!!!
What kind of paper likes music?
What do you get if you cross a skeleton and a detective?
Sherlock Bones
You’ve probably noticed (or maybe not if you’ve skipped this section ๐ ) that these jokes are not all Christmas based. For English Christmas Crackers, this does not matter a jot. The ones that make you groan the most are considered the best!
And on that logic, I will wish you all a Good Night.
