Nice to see your cover artist/designer focusing on faces and smiles instead of abs and treasure trails. My fav vacation scenario is to rent a flat or cottage in a residential area, urban or rural, to get the feel of the location and not have TRAVELLER stuff in my face or orbit. I want to EXPERIENCE where I am as the locals do, not what the PTB think I want to see.

I’ve never been on an all expenses paid cruise and they sound like fun. I’d want one that stops at lots of different ports with plenty of time for sightseeing tours and meeting ordinary citizens. Would love to see historical sites.

My favorite vacation combines a slow road trip through the mountains with stops along the way to sight see and visit small towns. It ends on a beach on the West Coast where the temperature is much cooler than you’ll find in Texas! I’ll have lots of books to read along the way, a stop at Powell’s bookstore in Portland to stock up on more, and the opportunity to visit lots of restaurants, shops and partake in fresh seafood.

Favorite cover…definitely a tie between the first and last! The colors are amazing and the smiles genuine. The contrasting wood in the last book is the perfect touch.

I like to be surrounded by natural forest, go bush walking and not hear any man-made noise. I’d like to go on an artist retreat and learn to draw and paint the natural environment.

My favorite holidays are when the family is happy. You can put me almost everywhere with some drinks and my ereader, and when I look up I see my husband en kids smile because they are doing something they love. I’m in a wheelchair so not al the vacation activities are a go for me, but I love to see them doing things like mountainbike, kanoeing or rodeln.

The beach – which isn’t because I’m a sun worshipper (cause I’m not – I burn too easily!), but because my whole family always goes together every summer. Since we missed last summer, I’m so excited about this year – we leave next week! I get to spend time w/my dad and my new great niece this year and I can’t wait.

I fell in love with cruising after I retired in 2012. Hubby and I were supposed to go on 3 cruises that all got cancelled because of the pandemic. Now that cruising in the US has started again I’m looking forward to booking another one.

Love a vacation where there is a sandy beach close by and a classy, old hotel to walk thru in the early morning with our coffee. It doesn’t even need to be hot to enjoy the beach, just the sound of the waves and the gulls flying overhead.

My favorite vacation would be any vacation that is super quiet – as in there are very few people – and I get to enjoy nature. We used to have the chance to stay in a friend’s house on the beach during the off season and it was fabulous. A kitchen with everything you could need, an empty beach for walking on in the morning and/or at sunset and very few people if you needed to go out to dinner or the store.
