I signed a cheque (check) for my son’s school with my author name. I happily signed away and went to put the cheque in an envelope and it was only when I went to seal the damn thing that I realized what I had done.
Fast forward to a girly meet up, and someone called me Diane (my real name) and I was like… who are they talking to?
I think I have become RJ Scott. I think so much of my life is wrapped up in writing, and so much of my writing is wrapped up with real life that I sometimes feel more like RJ than Di. I answer to RJ, I sign things as RJ, I talk on line as RJ. And yes, I even sign a cheque to the school.
And now, I have Rozenn Scott as yet another alter ego. When will it all end?
Authors have you become your alter ego? Readers, do you enjoy seeing parts of an author’s real life?
Kissing Alex (my current WIP) – Bodyguards Inc book 6)
Martial arts expert Lewis is the kind of bodyguard who slips under most
people’s radar. Quiet, reserved, but constantly on alert, he’ll do his
job, keep his charges safe, then relax by reading Shakespeare in his
spare time.
When he’s given a case involving a spoiled celebrity singer, Lewis isn’t
all that impressed. The job is nothing but babysitting a pretty boy,
and he’s used to diplomatic postings with depth and challenge. What
could he possibly have in common with the man he’s being forced to look
after?
Alex became the envy of many when he and his fellow bandmates won second
place in a huge TV talent show. He has more money than he knows what to
do with, no life goals, an ex-boyfriend selling a sex tape and now,
someone who wants him dead, or at the very least maimed.
Can Lewis keep Alex safe, even when things usually in his control go to
hell? Is running to a remote Scottish island the only way for them to
stay alive?

I sometimes read something on your blog or facebook page and think oh I'll send a question asking about that. Then I stop and think, wait that's too personal. I'm a fan of the author RJ Scott not a friend of the real lady I can't ask that. So yes I like hearing about your real life as well as what's new with RJ. 🙂

I know many authors have pen names and I've always wondered when you go to conventions it must been strange people calling you a different name from your own?
Laurie P says
I have a hard time remembering that I have a pen name.
