Oliver has always yearned for eternal love and now he just may have found it…
Life has not been kind to Oliver Powell. His career as a playwright has fizzled, his rent has doubled, his ex-husband just won a Tony and dedicated his success to his new younger husband, and his goldfish recently died. Yeah, life has been pretty dismal. Oh, and he just turned forty. Go Ollie. Nothing is how he had envisioned it when he was a young college student.
Out of the blue, the grandfather that he never knew left him a cabin along the shores of Lake Ontario. Fed up with his life, he heads north, hoping to find a little peace as he reflects on just how miserable his existence has become. Strolling the chilly edges of the inlet his new cabin sets upon, he walks up to a man bathing in the cold waters of the great lake. Never in all his dreams and writings has he envisioned a man so glorious. Young, lithe, a veritable god that for some reason gifts him—the man with the thinning hair and a growing paunch—a winsome smile.
One smile leads to the most amazing night Oliver has ever experienced. The following morning finds Oliver truly smitten. Love at first sight was always just a dream of his, a fantasy that he wrote silly plays about but had never thought to experience. Finding forever is one thing, but when his new love reveals his secret, it will change Oliver’s life forever…
Eternally Yours is a standalone age gap paranormal M/M romance short story with a disillusioned dramatist, a deific water-loving protean, and a gracefully glorious happily-ever-after.
