The Book
How Much For The Whole Night?
This book is a brand new novel expanded from a short story of the same name.
A seductive stranger gives Josh everything he wants, but one night of lust could get them both killed.
Driven by a combination of alcohol-induced recklessness and an overwhelming desire for something real, Josh ventures into a dark and seedy bar and lusts after a sexy, enigmatic hooker. When Josh negotiates a price for one night of pleasure he can’t know that when his time with Ethan is over, he'll be left shattered and forever changed by the encounter. Fleeing with his son is the only means of ensuring their survival amidst the chaos of what comes next, and there’s only one man he can trust to keep them safe.
A hooker who isn’t a hooker at all.
Ethan is on the brink of completing a covert operation that will enable him to infiltrate a human trafficking ring. Yet, when his conscience clashes with his mission, Ethan disobeys orders, jeopardizing everything he's worked for. Forced to escape, he takes Josh and his son, but he has nowhere to go, and now, their only hope lies in seeking refuge in an isolated safe house far from prying eyes.
Protecting Josh, Ben, and a tuxedo cat called Oreo, is Ethan's priority. Only he has no choice but to resume his undercover role, and he must leave Josh and Ben behind.
When a gun is pointed at his head, his final thought is that he’s lost everything that matters; can he make it home to his new family? Or will he have to die to protect the people he loves?

Enter Shadow Team, and Ryder, a former Army Ranger tasked with rescuing Annie from a compound in the middle of the forest. He’s supposed to leave, but when he finds August tied up and bleeding, he risks everything to bring the broken SEAL home, but as bullets fly and alliances shift, it’s not just the mission that’s at stake—it’s their hearts.

Posing as a couple leads to passionate nights and dangerous days, but when their undercover mission implodes, revenge is everything, love is impossible, and they have nowhere left to run.
Zach has always been a man torn between duty and family. Strong, capable, and fiercely dedicated to being a SEAL, he’s made countless sacrifices to ensure the safety of his son and his country. Driven by guilt, he leaves newborn Charlie in the care of his estranged twin brother, and no one, not even his self-destructive team mate, Kai, can make him change his mind. Their partnership can never be anything but a clash of personalities, with Kai’s fiery nature and Zach’s stubborn focus on duty, but as they navigate their latest undercover mission, one more stolen moment is all it takes for every barrier between them to disintegrate.
Kai, former 427 Special Operations Aviation Squadron, raised in a survivalist environment, is a skilled helicopter pilot, a loner, and never wanted a partner. When he’s kicked out of the service for not being a team player, he moves from black ops to the new Shadow Team, alongside Zach. The team wants his ability to color outside the lines, and challenge authority—he just wants a job that gets him into the action.
As their covert operation in the Canadian wilderness takes a dangerous turn, they run for survival, hemmed in by imminent dangers. With no one else to trust, they must lean on each other. But as their bond deepens, and passion explodes, will they live to see another day?

Excerpt
Shit! It wasn’t supposed to happen this way. Kill the security cameras, grab the asset, and walk out of the federal building without stress—that was the plan. Not once did I imagine I’d have to put a gun to the asset’s head or knock out my boss. In another life, a better life, I’d never have gotten myself in a situation where I’d signed up for the skin job in the first place.
I couldn’t see a way out.
“You don’t have to hurt me,” Josh’s eyes were wide with fear. “I won’t say anything.”
My resolve weakened for a moment—maybe it would be better to take Josh back inside, ignore everything I’d seen and done that made my skin crawl.
I wasn’t the bad guy.
I could leave and then he’d move on with his life.
How long would any of us get to live after that?
I needed to move the asset—Josh—find somewhere to stop and give myself time to think. I hoped that I hadn’t fucked everything up.
“This way,” I gestured with the gun.
Josh took a couple of stumbling steps backward, holding his hands out in front of him. “Please, you know I have a son. His name is Ben. Let me at least say goodbye. Please.”
I didn’t have time to talk. We didn’t have long to get away from here—Ryder had warned me the hacked security protocols wouldn’t stand up for long if the feds rebooted the system. I was never happier to see the unmarked van ten feet ahead of us where the rest of my off-the-books team—loyal to me—were waiting. All I needed to do was get inside, and then I’d try to explain everything to Josh. I holstered my gun, then gripped Josh’s arm and dragged him toward temporary safety, but Josh fought so hard that even though I was bigger, stronger, and better-trained, it took me a while to get my footing.
“Open the fucking van, dammit!” I snapped into my com.
The side door opened, and my teammate and friend, comms specialist Ryder was right there with a deadly focused expression as he peered out.
“Camera blocking only has another two minutes max,” Ryder reported. “Get a fucking move on.” He reached out and grabbed Josh, who struggled to get away, but between him and me, Josh didn’t stand a chance, and we shoved him into the van, slamming the door shut, and with the other agent in this mess—Luca—in the driver’s seat, we sped away from the building.
“Let me go!” Josh tried to get to the door.
The van swerved, Luca cursing in the front seat. There would be cameras tracing the van’s every move, CCTV and local stores capturing it as it sped past at the ass-crack of dawn, and it was getting lighter, making our situation worse.
“What’s the plan?” Luca called from the front.
“Let me out!” Josh shouted back, still trying to get to the door, although whether he’d survive jumping out of the moving van was debatable. Ryder placed a hand over Josh’s mouth and another around his shoulder to stop him from squirming.
“You want me to shoot him in the leg?” Ryder asked, and Ethan’s eyes widened as he froze.
“Fuck’s sake, Ryder, we’re not shooting him.” I yanked at Ryder’s hand across Josh’s mouth. “He’s scared.”
“I need a fucking plan, Ethan!” Luca demanded.
Fuck. Where do we go?
