Hello Festive Friends!
I'm excited to be taking part in this Advent event! What a great way to celebrate the holidays and give some gifts to readers!
As an Australian, Christmas for me means stinking hot 40C summer days, cold meat and salads. Writing about Christmas in winter is like a mini-vacation for me! I get to immerse myself in snow, woodfires, real Christmas trees, and roast dinners with all the fancy trimmings.
This year I have a new Christmas novel called Christmas Wish List! It's Book 2 in the Hartbridge Christmas Series, but reads as a stand-alone. Each book in the series has different couples.
Last year (2020) I wrote a Christmas book called Tic-Tac-Mistletoe. A charming little romance set in a quaint town in the mountains of Montana. I had no intention of making it a series but then this year, a certain character who was no more than a passing name decided to introduce himself. And so Christmas Wish List was born.

My Christmas wish is admittedly selfish this year. I am busy all year working and taking care of elderly family members, I would really like some quality time for just me.

For my nephew to get to visit and still get to do his wrestling tournament. He is a freshman in HS this year and lives 2 states away, we only get to see him during the summer and at Christmas, but he got on the Varsity Wrestling team and is so excited. Well they’re having a tournament over Winter break and he really wants to participate, but also really doesn’t want to miss his visit… I feel bad for him and told him he is not disappointing us. I will miss him, but I want him to be happy!! He’s the sweetest, most loving 14 year old I know!!

Deep one here… My christmas wish is for my newphew’s direct family to accept him for who he is. We do, but they’re making anti-trans arguments and it’s breaking my heart. Auntie can only do so much and cannot replace mom when it comes to this. I’m doing everything I can, but definitely could use a Christmas miracle that their mom listens to what I’m trying to get across and accepts him for who he is, with open arms and a loving heart. May Christmas bleed the hatred from her and keep it away forever forward.

I taught college in New Orleans for six years and missed winter Christmas. Having moved back north to Colorado, I expect a white Christmas, but we’ve not had snow yet, so it’s not guaranteed. So I wish for a white Christmas.
P.S. I loved both the books set in Montana. I just finished Christmas Wish List last night and loved it! Being a little OCD, of course I read Tic-Tac-Mistletoe first!

I have been undergoing chemo and a stem cell transplant this year. My only Christmas wish is for better health for myself and for all who are unwell.
