Kept in the Dark

Struggling actor Dean, only escorts occasionally to pay the bills. So, his first instinct on being offered a job with a strange set of conditions is to turn it down. No date. Don’t switch the lights on. Don’t touch him. I mean, what’s that all about? What’s the man trying to hide? Dean certainly doesn’t expect sex with a faceless stranger to spark so much passion inside him. It’s just business though, right? He can put a stop to it whenever he wants.

When Dean meets Justin—a scarred, ex-army soldier unlucky in love. Dean’s given a chance at a proper relationship. He can see past the scars to the man underneath. He’s everything Dean could possibly wish for in a boyfriend: kind, caring and sweet. All Dean needs to do is be honest. Easy, right? But, Justin’s holding back and Dean can’t work out why. But whatever it is, it’s enough to give him second thoughts.
They both have secrets which could shatter their fledgling relationship. After all, secrets have a nasty habit of coming out eventually. The question is when they do, will they be able to piece their relationship back together? Or will they be left with nothing but memories of bad decisions and the promise of the love they could have had, if only they’d both been honest and fought harder.

    • The Heat Miser Song from the movie The Year Without a Santa Claus always brings a smile along with good childhood memories and memories with my children. Also love White Christmas sung by Bing Crosby.

    • My favorite Christmas song is “Hey, Hey, Hey Snowflake”. This song is on one of my mom’s older Christmas albums.

  29. Religious carol would be Away in a Manger. But this weekend I heard Tevin Vincent sing Mary Did You Know? with the Venice Symphony and was completely bowled over.

  30. Sometimes, this can change daily. Plus, I have favorite ones to listen to versus favorites that I play. Right now, I’m in love with a new Silent Night arrangement.

  42. I do love Bruce Springsteen’s live version of Santa Claus is Coming To Town. He just sounds so happy and I love the laughing towards the end ,really lifts the spirits 🙂

  43. It used to be Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer, but lately my favorite is probably Pentatonix performing Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & when I’m in a more slow mood, it would be Pentatonix performing Hallelujah.

  66. Little Drummer Boy, especially the version with Crosbie and Bowie. BUT … I recently heard t by the Cinci Pops in the style of Ravel’s Bolero, and it worked perfectly. Now my fav version.

  81. It’s hard to pick, I enjoy all of them, although I supposed my favorites are the ones I know the words to so I can sing along. Silent Night was the last one I heard and thus goes at the top of the list for now.
