Day 14 - Charlie Novak
Hello Holiday Lovers!
I'm so excited to be here as part of RJ's epic advent event. Christmas is one of my favourite holidays, especially because the food is amazing, I can cover everything in glitter and for all the super cute holiday reads! This year, I've joined them by releasing my very first Christmas novel – Spiced Kisses.
It's part of the Kiss Me series, which is all set around The Pear Tree – a pub/restaurant in the English countryside and full of a few colourful characters – and you can find out all about them at https://charlienovak.com/kiss-me/
Happy Holidays!
Love Charlie xx

My favorite is the banana pudding
Apple crumble
ice cold slabs of ham on-the-bone with mustard
I really like my grandmother’s cranberry salad with apples and nuts, in a jell-o base.
My favourite holiday food is Mocha Cakes, which are little cubes of pound cake dipped in icing and then in finely chopped peanuts. I used to watch my Nana make them when she’d visit our house and she’d cut off the top of the cake that would fall off anyway and let us eat that cake. Then of course we got to eat them all through Christmas. It’s not really the holiday without them. Ironically, back in the day, she bought pound cake from the grocery store and now, I have to bake the pound cake as stores only sell fruit cake.

But Gramps and I got large servings of the warm pie, oozing dark sauce full of super sweet minced fruit.
