Day 1 - RJ Scott
And behind today's door…
Me!
You always knew I'd be on day1!
I love Christmas – from music to gift-giving to all the wonderful Christmas books and movies. I particularly love the build-up to Christmas – more so than the actual day itself.
Christmas memories…
Crepe Paper always brings back memories. A couple of days before Christmas mum and dad would remove all the ornaments and so on from our large sideboard and then would put down swathes of this soft crinkly paper in all different colors. Then on top of that would go Christmas nuts and sweets and some decorations. This to a young kid was Christmas heaven!
When we woke up in the morning we would have a pillowcase at the end of the bed, normally with a Rupert annual and bits and pieces from Avon like talc (Brits will get both these references).
Christmas TV was a high point in our house when I was a kid. Not so much now. Back when I was little we only had a couple of TV channels and there was always the afternoon film (after the Queen’s speech). I remember the excitement when one of the channels showed Star Wars. Then there was Morecombe and Wise, The Bond film, and The Coronation Street Christmas episode. Oh, and which Brit here recalls Angie being served the divorce papers by Den in Eastenders!!!? ROFL.
I'm looking forward to sharing the advent countdown with…

This year's Christmas Release – coming 10 December
The Wishing Tree
It takes an impossible Christmas wish for Bailey to find forever love with his brother’s best friend.
Turning twenty-five and still a virgin, Bailey has barely dated, let alone acted on the private fantasies featuring his brother’s best friend, newly retired hockey star, Kai. All he wants is for Kai to love him, but after a summer when Kai’s anger drove them apart, love doesn’t seem possible at all.
When Kai goes home to Wishing Tree, he knows he owes everyone an apology, not least of all to the man he loves. He’s convinced he can be the man Bailey deserves, and he needs to show Bailey how much he’s changed.
The only problem? Bailey has secrets he’s scared will drive Kai away, and Kai is running out of time to convince Bailey that falling in love starts with a wish, and can end up in forever.
The Wishing Tree is a standalone small-town Christmas MM romance with perfect snow, twinkling lights, a first real kiss, a shy virgin with a silken kink, a retired hockey player, and all the Christmas feels.

NR Walker’s 65 Hours Twelve Days of Christmas
Last place in the chalet by Sue Brown, matched for Christmas by Colbie Dunbar and Lorelei M Hart
Okay a book I enjoyed from years ago was not strictly a Christmas story. Though holidays played a large part. It was called Greeting Cards by Tinnean.
I wouldn’t call these a Christmas read like Hallmark movies but every year I read Charlie Cochet’s North Pole series.
65 Hours Twelve Days of Christmas by NR Walker
For favorite Christmas story, I will go with “The Magician’s Angel (The Christmas Angel Book 3)”
by Jordan L. Hawk. It was the first of the Christmas Angel books that I read, and I really like the theme.
Anyta Sunday’s Shrew Angel, a book in the Christmas Angels series was a wonderful read for me last year.
My favourite holiday for now is Operation fake relationship by Jay Northcote. But I also love:
Merry Cherry by Keira Andrews, last place in the chalet by Sue Brown, Naughty & Nice by D
J. Jamison and Tic-Tac-mistletoe By N. R. Walker…. I have more but I will stop there.

I love the first 2 books in Leta Blake’s “Home for the Holidays” series (Mr. Frosty Pants and Mr. Naughty List) and can’t wait to start book 3 (Mr. Jingle Bells)
Mine’s an old one – it has both of my favourite tropes – second chance/forced proximity – ‘Waiting for Winter’ LB Gregg.

I think my holiday favourite is Cherish Your Name by Mary Calmes. It’s one I need to re-read every year:)
My fave is So Stinkin’ Deer by J.D. Light. An ABO shifter story loosely based on Bambi, it’s so sweet and heartwarming I always come back to it. That and the entire Vale Valley series lol

Twelve Days of Christmas by NR Walker (but you need to read 65Hours first!)
And I am super looking forward to reading Dearest Malachi Keogh
Don’t think my email went in properly on main post!!
And that must be why the original comment is missing!
I said The Twelve Days of Christmas by NR Walker, but having read 65 hiurs first!
Man, it’s hard to choose just one fav when there are so many awesome writers giving us great, sexy MM romance. My all-time fave MM romance has to be Hard for My Boss by Daryl Banner. But if I have to choose one holiday romance that I really love, I would have to choose from one of my fave MM authors Alessandra Hazard and her book Just a Bit Obsessed, which does happen around the holiday season, if not considered a typical holiday book. Her whole Straight Guys series is sooooo freaking sexy, who’s is why it’s my all-time favorite MM series.
Merry Measure by Lily Morton is my favorite Christmas story.
I love Mr Frosty Pants by Leta Blake
I have a lot of Christmas favorites, but I really liked His First Christmas by Victoria Sue.
Lone Star by Josh Lanyon… it is my fav

Texas Christmas
The Christmas Throwaway is a must read every year around this time.
Shrewd Angel by Anyta Sunday
Cupcakes and Christmas
A Christmas Hex by Jordan L Hawk
OMG, I read the question and thought it said MM Hockey story, then I was reading comments and didn’t understand. I took me like reading it 3 times to actually see Holiday. I guess I have Hockey on the brain. My favorite Holiday MM is Neutral Zone, I still have hockey on the brain.
His First Christmas By Victoria Sue
So many, but I think my favorites are Brandon’s Very Merry Haunted Christmas by AJ Sherwood & A Villain for Christmas by Alice Winters
I like Cabin Fever by Brigham Vaughn.
I love Shiny! by Amy Lane – I re-read it every year.
I still remember the book that really said something to me and made me realize that these M/M books were the greatest. A Fortunate Blizzard by L.C. Chase was the first book I purchased for keeps. The old cover was beautiful and illustrated the story so well. The new cover is also very touching. I look forward to adding it to my new kindle each time so I can read it for that uplifting moment.
The Christmas Throwaway is the one I read every year.
The Geek Who Saved Christmas by Annabeth Albert… loved it so much.
Me too!!
My Christmas, My Crooked Bend by Taylor Rylan
love happens anyway by rj scott
I don’t have a favorite, so I will say it is the whatever one I am reading at the time. Love the holiday romances.
Holigay by K. M. Neuhold
Christmas Throwaway
I haven’t read a lot of Christmas romances (but I love all the recs here!) I recently read Tic Tac Mistletoe by NR Walker which I really enjoyed.
The Christmas Throwaway by RJ Scott
A villian for Christmas by alice winters. Keeps me laughing.
Choosing just one and remembering exact name is hard. I remember picture on cover. I have 10-15 that I read every year. Can’t remember the names of my 2 must read but ones is Amy Aislin and takes place in the Adirondacks. It is a social worker and an out of town guy, maybe a reporter. The other is a Chanukah story about a college guy invited home to his roommates who falls for the brother.
Mr Frosty Pants by Leta Blake
Holiday Outing by Astrid Amara
Mr Frosty Pants by Leta Blake has stuck with me.
There’s also one I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called, I randomly found it when I first started reading holiday romances, it was a freebie. Starts off as a murder and then someone on the run to save their own life so they don’t also get killed. It’s all snow and trains and a cop that basically throws away everything to try to protect this guy. It ends on I think Christmas Eve with them in a seedy hotel room starting to fall for one another and climbing into their single bed to do the sheet tango. I can still recall pieces of that vividly years later, always the mark of a good book.
Blame it on the Mistletoe by Eli Easton
Eight Nights in December by Keira Andrews, love many of the others already listed, especially the North Pole Tales.
All I Want for Christmas…..Is My Sister’s Boyfriend by Brooke Blaine.

Winter’s Chill by Aria Grace
Coming Out On Top by Nora Phoenix
I absolutely loved His Accidental Christmas Omega by Ava Beringer!
My absolute favorite is Something More for Santa by AKM Miles.
One of the holiday stories that has always stayed with me is The Christmas Throwaway. It is such an impressive story.
He Sees You When You’re Sleeping by Sara Dobie Bauer. No idea what year it came out, and it’s a short. It’s very dark and somewhat depressing, but with a happy ending. But it’s still so hard to read that I’ve only read it once. I love it though. My heart just can’t take it. Very haunting, very angst, very well written, perfectly paced especially for its size.
You are a new to me author and I see a bunch of book I am interested in reading! As for my favorite MM Holiday read…I don’t think I have read any…which should be impossible but there you have it! Have a spectacular holiday season!
I love so many it’s hard to pick one.! I would say if I had to try it would be Coming Out on Top by Nora Phoenix.
Mr. Frosty Pants by Leta Blake is a joy!
“Flour, Eggs, Sugar, Magic” by Daniel de Lorne
I recently read Christmas Mountain by Garret Leigh – beautiful❤️

Merry Measure by Lily Morton ❤️
The Christmas Throwaway by RJ Scott
If Only in My Dreams by Keira Andrews. That’s the one that I re-read every year! super sweet!
The Christmas Deal by Keira Andrews
It’s my favorite tropes- fake relationship, forced proximity plus low angst and full of loveable characters. I like that it doesn’t follow the Hallmark script. These two men have some stuff to deal with but that doesn’t cause any drama. Plus there’s a teenager who actually behaves like a teenager! I always recommend this as a Holiday book to add to anyone’s TBR.
What fun!
One of my favorites is Winter Oranges by Marie Sexton.
Don’t read much holiday books, so Stone Sentinel by Jex Lane
no fav yet
I have too many favorites to list them all! Let’s go with Love Happens Anyway By R.J. Scott and One More Yule Log by Julia Talbot…
Christmas Throwaway of course and the North Pole series by Charlie Cochet, are ones I re-read every year
The Best Gift by Eli Easton (or any other holiday romance by this author!).
Thanks for the chance! Omega Under the Mistletoe by Aria Grace is a good Christmas story!
ChrisMess Savior by Isha Fang
The Remaking of Corbin Wale by Roan Parrish is my MM winter holiday favorite.
There are so many, but the one that has been starting my “Christmas listens” since it was released in 2013 is the audio for Josh Lanyon’s “The Dickens with Love” and the audio for “Love Happens Anyway” is another one that has been getting regular December airtime (that snowman just makes me smile)
Keira Andrews ~ In Case of Emergency: Gay Christmas Romance it has one of my favorite troupes’ step-siblings although former in this case.
Christmas Lane by Amy Aislin and Cherish your name by Mary Calmes are my two re-reads every year.
