Reuben « Angel » Jacobs est sur le point de tout laisser tomber. Perdre une place en finale de Sing UK, émission diffusée en direct, manque de l’achever. Il n’a pas d’autre choix que de rentrer chez lui et de travailler pour l’entreprise familiale, même si ça signifie qu’il doit tirer un trait sur ses rêves et donner raison à ses anciens tyrans.
Corey Dixon est un rockeur dans l’âme. Être sur le spectre signifie qu’il lui est difficile de donner un sens à la « normalité » des autres, et encore plus dans le chaos orchestré par une compétition de haut niveau. Chanter est son « endroit sûr », le seul moyen pour lui de faire taire tous les bruits sous son crâne. Rater son audition pour les shows en direct met fin à son voyage. C’est le pire jour de sa vie.
Les juges leur lancent une bouée de sauvetage en créant un boys band composé des espoirs ayant raté de peu les auditions. Angel, Corey et trois autres mecs sont réunis dans une pièce et se voient offrir la chance de chanter en groupe. Accepter d’en faire partie condamnera Corey à cacher qui il est et ce qu’Angel représente pour lui.

Reuben “Angel” Jacobs is one step away from giving it all up. Losing a place in the live finals of Sing UK almost kills him. He has no choice but to go home and work for the family business, even though it means giving up his dreams and proving his old bullies right.
